Changing habits to help protect the climate and environment.

Involving our customers.
Innovative technology alone is not enough if we are to succeed in protecting the climate and environment. The personal involvement and awareness of people is equally important. In the coming years, therefore, we plan to give our customers the opportunity of experiencing the added value resulting from sustainability. This should give them clear guidance for sustainable purchase decisions and efficient, environmentally friendly use of our solutions.
Die Kampagne 'Ignorance can harm nature' unseres griechischen Netzbetreibers COSMOTE schärft das Umweltbewusstsein von Kunden und Mitarbeitern.
The "Ignorance can harm nature" campaign launched by our Greek network operator COSMOTE raises awareness for the environment among both customers and employees.
Customer information on how to put our products to sustainable use: Within the Group, T-Mobile UK has taken on a pioneering role in communicating CR-relevant issues to customers. For instance, the customer magazine “Good Call” is published every six months and is available in the T-Mobile Shops. Readers can learn about eco-friendly usage of products and services and the latest results of recent climate protection measures.

T-Systems’ business customer portal: In Germany, T-Systems’ business customer portal provides our corporate customers with up-to-date information on environmental issues. In doing so, we support them in the sustainable use of our products.

Change is powered by people: In April 2009, T-Mobile USA launched its www.mobilizewitht-mobile.com website. Under the slogan “Mobilize: Change Powered by People,” customers are motivated in three ways to contribute personally in improving eco-efficiency.

1. “Reduce”: By signing up for a “Green Account”, customers receive a paperless contract and paperless online bills – a no-hassle package for a completely paperless communication and billing.
2. “Reuse”: With “MOTO W233 Renew“, T-Mobile USA brings to its customers a cell phone made entirely from recycled drinks bottles. The phone can be got for free on signing up for a two-year contract.
3. “Recycle”: Under this motto, T-Mobile USA has launched its handset recycling program for used cell phones.

Irrespective of which program a customer signs up for, T-Mobile USA will plant a tree on behalf of every participant. In close collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation, we aim to reforest large stretches of California’s National Parks which were destroyed by wildfires. T-Mobile USA also uses the platform to inform its customers about its various commitments in environmental protection.
