Achieving a better work-life balance.

Mobility and globalization are two of today's megatrends. They are redefining business and society and how we work and live. In a complex and ever-accelerating working world, expectations are on the rise, requiring people to be more flexible in terms of working hours and their workplace. To meet these demands, certain prerequisites must be met:
  • They have to be able to establish contact with other people independently of time or location.
  • They have to be able to connect worldwide.
  • They have to be able to exchange all kinds of complex information.
To a similar extent, these opportunities are also increasingly used for personal purposes. As such, information and communications technologies are becoming lifelines in an increasingly networked world. They create the foundation for connecting to people and things all over the world. If applied intelligently, ICTInfo can contribute significantly to improving our quality of life.
Die Digitalisierung und Vernetzung der Lebenswelten schafft Freiräume - insbesondere bei der Vereinbarkeit von Beruf, Freizeit und Familie.By digitizing and networking the different parts of our lives, we have more room - in particular to balance our work, free time and family life.

Social importance of ICT confirmed.
The social importance of ICT is made evident by the results of the “Digital Living” study. Deutsche Telekom supported this survey, which entailed interviewing 10,545 consumers in six countries to find out how they use digital media. The results were published in 2008. Around 86 percent of the Germans and 85 percent of the Hungarians who were interviewed during the study consider digital media to be an indispensable part of modern life. For the majority, the Internet and telecommunications were absolutely essential and the interviewees could not imagine life without these technologies, neither at a professional level nor in planning their leisure activities or maintaining relations with family and friends.

Enabling sustainable living.
Deutsche Telekom knows how to capture this potential. We develop products and services that enable location-independent working and networked social communications. The Group not only helps our customers make the most of their personal and working lives, but also meets their expectations for a sustainable existence.
