Responsible development of our networks.

The safety and environmental compatibility of our mobile communications networks and innovative products are top priority for Deutsche Telekom and its mobile communications arm T-Mobile. Our long-term business success is dependent on safe technology usage and its acceptance by the public. This is a fact we are fully aware of. For this reason, we are actively campaigning for the prompt, well-researched clarification of outstanding issues concerning mobile communications technology. We guarantee that each and every one of our mobile communications sites complies with international tolerance limits.
Die Sicherheit und Umweltverträglichkeit ihrer Mobilfunknetze und Produkte haben für die Deutsche Telekom höchste Priorität. The safety and environmental compatibility of its mobile networks and products has top priority for Deutsche Telekom.

Safety guaranteed by the expert committees.
Deutsche Telekom firmly believes that compliance with the valid safety standards and limits guarantees the safe usage of mobile communications for all. This belief is founded on the verdict of independent expert committees, which regularly analyze all relevant studies and perform checks on current safety standards. At international level, they include institutions such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), as well as national health authorities and expert groups like the British Health Protection Agency (HPA) and the Health Council of the Netherlands.

Transparency, information, participation.
Our international EMFInfo policy (electromagnetic fields) defines the cornerstones of our responsible approach to the social debate on mobile communications and safety. In it, the T-Mobile companies in Europe commit themselves to more transparency, information and participation, and undertake to provide financial backing for independent research into mobile communications issues. These commitments by far exceed the statutory requirements. The EMF policy has been implemented differently in different countries, in line with the local circumstances and social requirements.
